Barking Buddies
We recently used the services of Steve from BARKING BUDDIES.
We had 2 boxers but unfortunately we lost one of them and the other one (Millie) was fretting. We were going on holiday but did not want to put her in kennels.
We contacted Steve and came to an agreement where he would come into our house and look after Millie in her own home. She was also fed with the food she likes.
Steve came round and took Millie out for a trial run and Millie was great with him.
Our arrangement was for Steve to come and feed and walk Millie 3 times a day and let her out in the evening. Steve also fed the cat and let her in and out and fed my pond fish.
We came back from holiday and Millie was happy and not down in the dumps like she is when she came out of kennels.
The price was about the same as kennels but this was much better for us and our dog.
Steve is an animal lover you can tell by the way he handles and treats them.
I would recommend Barking Buddies to anyone – no more kennels for us.

We moved to the area in July 2009 and one of our main concerns was that our dog was well looked after and did not suffer due to us moving away from friends and family (aka, regular dog-walkers!).
Steve has been walking Rodney, a small energetic tri-coloured Jack Russell, three-times-a- week since September. We hadn’t used a dog-walking service before and we were apprehensive about leaving Rodney with someone we didn’t know. However, we have been so impressed with Steve and after only a short while Steve has built a strong relationship with both Rodney and us.
He is always polite and friendly and we trust him impeccably with Roddie and keys to our house. He always goes over and beyond what we expect from a dog-walker, often walking Rodney for longer than we pay for and helping out at short notice.
Steve and Rodney have developed a strong and trustful relationship; Rodney can sometimes be nervous of strangers but took to Steve right away. Steve treats Rodney and our home with respect and, most importantly, Rodney really enjoys his walks and comes home a happy and tired dog.
We have no hesitation in recommending Steve and Barking Buddies to anyone considering a dog‑walking service.

Stephen has been walking our beloved Fox Terrier ‘Eddie’ for a number of weeks now and we are extremely impressed by the standard of service he has shown us. Stephen is very punctual, trustworthy and reliable, which gives us peace of mind to know that our pet, whom we have had for twelve years, is happy to be left in Stephen’s care whilst getting the regular exercise he needs.
We would recommend Barking Buddies to anyone who, for what ever reason, needs to entrust someone with the responsibility of looking after and walking their dog whilst knowing that they are in the care of an animal lover and someone who is particularly interested in the welfare and care of all breeds of dog.
Using this service has certainly helped to overcome our guilt at not having enough time to give Eddie the exercise he deserves as with a young family and increasing work commitments our pets can become overlooked sometimes. Eddie looks forward to his walks with Stephen and is excited to see him when he arrives at the house.
Thanks to Barking Buddies we now have the peace of mind that our pet has some quality time with someone he likes and enjoys spending time with walking, running and getting very muddy (doggy heaven).

Steve has been walking my boxer puppy for several weeks now, and I am always confident that he is returned a clean, happy, thoroughly satisfied dog. He always settles Kilo, feeds and puts down water and secures the property when he leaves.
The testament to his service is that I can see how excited Kilo gets when I see Steve when I am out walking myself. I also see on the many occasions I walk with Steve and Kilo that all the dogs he walks are kept under control, and are secured safely in the cages within his specialised van. Many dog walkers I see in the area have far too many dogs and allow them to run riot, and are normally bundled unsafely into the back of a van. Steve is nothing like these dog walkers, he provides a professional service and only takes a few dogs at the time so he can attend to each of their needs.
I would recommend Steve’s services to anyone.
